Manuscript Resource Centre (MRC)
- National Mission for Manuscripts is establishing Manuscripts Resource Centers (MRCs) throughout the country. One of the main mandate being identifying and documenting manuscripts, NMM is getting the survey work for identification and documentation of manuscripts done through the MRC.
- The institution should have a collection of 5000 manuscripts (an exception is made in the case of northeast region and far flung remote areas). NMM finalizes centers by committee.
- On fulfilling the terms and conditions, MoU is signed with the center so selected and approval of Competent Financial Authority is sought for release of Funds as per MoU.
Manuscript Conservation Centres (MCC)
- National Mission for manuscripts is establishing Manuscripts Conservation Centers for the purpose of preservation and conservation of the manuscripts all over the country.
- The following are the requirements of eligibility of an institution for creation of Manuscripts Conservation Center:
- The centre should have proper infrastructure and space.
- Should have proper laboratory.
- Should be in a location to be able to provide service to institutional and individual collections in designated areas around the MCC.

Gurukul
India is well known for its highly cultural traditions across the globe. In ancient days the educational system of India.The NMM is planning to open ‘Gurukula’ wings to continue this rich cultural tradition.which three scholars shall be appointed to edit and transliterate regional unpublished manuscripts under the supervision of a Guru in each Gurukula.
